Ask Phil which indoor plants are best and he’ll tell you straight, ‘There’s no such thing as an indoor plant, mate. All plants are meant to live outdoors’.

Who would have thunk it? Interior stylists and magazine editors don’t want to hear it, but alas, it’s just the truth.

Nevertheless, some plants can tolerate indoor environments better than others. Just be conscious of over-watering, give them some filtered sun by the window and always pay attention to how they are doing inside. If your plant doesn’t like its current conditions, change things up. Move it to another position or alternatively stick it outside now and then for a decent spell to recover.

Ficus Lyrata (Fiddle Leaf), Dracaena Deremensis (Janet Craig) and all sorts of wonderful cacti are just some good choices for people who are keen to go green on the inside and bring more life into their homes.
